Facilities Manager

The Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) Department within Firmenich is a global service organization and trusted business partner, delivering critical business services to the highest standards across its portfolio of operations and locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor the strategy for facilities services in both Belgium (2 sites) and Germany (1 site). Both soft and hard services need to be delivered through an outsourced model. Establish, manage and monitor performance and contracts of suppliers.
  • Manage and monitor facilities services budget (OPEX and CAPEX) to ensure variances are accounted for.
  • Develop and execute capital investment longer term roadmaps.
  • Manage and develop stakeholder relationships through a concrete action plan (presentation, proactive proposals, expert collaboration, etc.) in order to build an added value and credibility for GWS strategy.
  • Manage space and occupancy according to the Real Estate Corporate Strategy. Reduce our footprint and make efficient use of our space while supporting the (changing) requirements of the business.
We value:
  • 2 - 5 years of experience with the building development industry or service sector.
  • Degree in Facility Management/ Office Management or equivalent in Engineering
  • Technical background with some experience in operational management of hard services. Previous experience in projects investment is a plus e..g. in a direct implementation role as Engineering Project Manager. Experience with lab environments could be beneficial.
  • Professional French and English. German would be a plus.
  • Preferred experience with latest workplace trends and digital solutions related to Facilities Management and/or change management with FM outsourcing models.
