Facilities Advisor

With offices in major business and financial centres, we deliver an outstanding service to our clients anywhere in the world. We are currently looking to strengthen our Operations team (12 professionals across the Belgian offices).

We are looking for a versatile Facilities Advisor located in Brussels, with strong communication and influencing skills. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in a wide range of key responsibilities in the Operations area. The main responsibilities will be:
  • Organize all aspects of daily Facilities management together with the Facilities Supervisor
  • Liaise with the landlord and official authorities whenever needed,
  • Manage facilities projects like internal move/refurbishment, throughout the project life cycle,
  • Supervise outsourced personnel and/or suppliers related to Facility services (cleaning, technical maintenance, security), manage the parking-related aspects,
  • Act as the local representative in case of discussions and changes to be implemented regarding the organisation of the global travel office,
  • Verify and approve day-to-day operational costs, in line with departmental budget and business plan,
  • Supervise and advise on energy efficiency,
  • Report regularly to the COO and other stakeholders as appropriate. Ideally, the Facilities Advisor will take up the role of Prevention Advisor for the offices over time.
As a Facilities Advisor, located in Belgium, you will directly report to the Facilities Supervisor. Your main stakeholders will be your internal/external Operations team members including the COO, the lawyers and the business teams of the Belgian offices.

Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications Required
  • At least three year’s work experience in the management of day-to-day facilities services, including managing and advising on technical building installations, project management,
  • Proficiency in English, very good knowledge of Dutch and/or French,
  • Hands-on approach, dynamism with a strong client focus, a high level of flexibility as well as ability to work autonomously,
  • Professional maturity with strong organisational skills and a high level of accuracy in the work delivered,
  • A true team player with diplomatic and proactive communication skills,
  • Ideally a Level 2 Prevention Advisor or willing to obtain the certification with support from Linklaters.
